If WWE does that, they'll get my $10 a month instead of the $0 they're getting now.

Edit: Although, if there's going to be that much content and it's going to include monthly PPVs and everything, I wouldn't say $20 per month is at all unfair. The service isn't dissimilar to MLB.tv.

-- By the way, there are people in WWE who have some insight into the Network behind the scenes who in an unofficial capacity (meaning, not because they work for the company but personally as wrestling fans) are pretty excited about the concept as it currently stands.

What I mean is to have a dedicated pay service app that you can access through the computer/tablet/phone/roku/videogame console/blu ray player.  Not throwing some of their stuff on someone elses streaming service.

Could've had this thing launched years ago if they'd listen to me

How would the rights issues work out for WWE Network?  Like would airing Jesse Ventura's commentary have the same problems as on DVD/Blu-Ray?

I believe there are usually some differences (i.e. the way that The Wonder Years replays are all over TV but there still isn't a DVD release, due to music royalties) but I am not sure.  If anyone has some special arrangement unlike anyone else as well, it is going to be Jesse.

I'm just assuming it works under the CoD arrangement where Ventura is fine but various music is not.

We're going to finally have answers in about 26 hours.  Any last minute predictions on price/content/date/availability?

It's gotta be pretty much a given that it will be available on everything.  The rumor has always been there that it will include Mania this year if you sign up for however long.  A lot of 9.99 a month talk...because that's what the market seems to dictate for these types of things I guess. The way they bleed the hardcores by raising prices on PPVs while buyrates go down though leaves me with the feeling they'll overreach.  Or at the very least (because they need subscribers right away) they'll put it out for 10 and then jack it up ASAP.

How much of their content do you think will be available at launch?  This has been the gripe with the UFC Fight Pass I've seen the most.

I will pay whatever they ask. I'm really hoping no more than $15 a month.

If it is over $12/month then it's a no go for me.  I'm waiting to see what will be offered because if it's good I'll just cancel Netflix and get this.  I agree they will probably overreach, though, because that's just how this company is.

I hope that it opens a lot of archives of older stuff.  They will need to convert it and have it at the ready, but I'd like the archives to the old Prime Time Wrestling at the very least regarding old stuff from the 1980s and early 1990s.

I guess the latest batch of rumors is $10 a month, all PPVs minus Wrestlemania EXCEPT this year you will get WM if you pay for like 6 months or something.

It will also have a schedule of programming in addition to on demand content.

Sounds like a great thing to me.

I think you'll still be able to order PPV's.  No way they are going to turn down non-network people paying $50+ a show.

Ok so I don't have the UFC Fight Pass or whatever. How does this exactly work if it is a similar business model?
Is it something you download onto your device or a channel you would go to?

Something you download onto a device or can watch on PC.

Such as your XBox or whatever so you can watch it on TV, like Netflix.

It's like Netflix...or maybe more appropriately since it has live content...like the MLB app.

If you get the PPVs, then I'm guessing $20/month.  That's a far amount of PPV revenue lost.

They won't sell at 20 a month.  They need a hell of a lot more subscribers than getting the 200,000 regular PPV buyers to subscribe.  I think Meltz said their break even was a million subscribers.  Which...no one really seems to think they'll get.

For those unfamiliar with the MLB app you can watch a bevy of live content (when live games are on) but there is also an easily searchable archive of games. Since they're the people handling this, it's going to be stellar.

Looks like The Hulkster is going to be a part of the announcement.  If they know what he's doing at Mania they should totally tease it after they announce you can watch Mania on the network if you sign up.

If you pay for 6 months at a time.   Who knows what the price will be if you try to go month by month.   My guess?  $20, and $30 if you try to sign up the weekend of a PPV.    That'd be my model at least.

I think at most it would be $15 without a commitment. All the talk leading up to it suggested $15 is their cap but they want to lure people with $10.

I already paid $7.99 for CoD so two extra bucks for all this is cake.  Especially with the "watch it anywhere" thing.

Legends House actually looks like kinda wacky fun.

And in Canada (which is not getting this until "later in 2014", so thanks again Blockless!) CoD was $10 already.

When the concepts of "The Monday Night War" (or "Wars"...) and "WrestleMania Rewind" were thrown around I thought that was silly when the shows are already in the vault. Then they explained that they're cool looking documentaries, so hooray.

It looks like a lot of the docs were shot in '11 or '12 when they were still planning on making it a cable network, but I also saw Cena in a recent shirt and Bryan with long hair, so there will be some relatively fresh footage too.

Vince finally gets his wrestling network that he's wanted since what 2001?

We'll get live PPVs and every PPV at our fingertips? Is the six month commitment $60? Hell they can have that if it gets me WM and 5 PPVs!
Do you need the six month commitment for every PPV ever?

I think the moment you sign up everything will be in place, regardless of whether you go six months or a monthly plan.

WrestleMania will be for free as will every other pay-per-view. With six months, you'll only pay $9.99.

Speaking of Xbox One...it won't be on that until summer.  Which blows because I use it for everything.  It'll be on 360/PS3/PS4 on launch day though.
